Defense Logistics Agency Energy Americas successfully met or exceeded their goals for the 2012 Combined Federal Campaign.

DLA Energy Americas at Houston met their goal with contributions and pledges totaling more than $12,000, according to DLA Energy Americas at Houston XXX Sammy Sobah who served as CFC chairperson. DLA Energy Americas at San Pedro completed their CFC campaign with more than $8,000 in contributions, exceeding their 2012 goal of $5,000, according to Bessie Dawson, DLA Energy Americas at San Pedro secretary to the commander and CFC chairperson.

“Americas has a long history of being generous and supporting our communities. This year was no exception,” said DLA Energy Americas Deputy Director Frank Wright. “We are all very blessed and contributing to the CFC is a small way of showing our appreciation and sharing with others in need.”

The annual CFC campaign is the only charity authorized for the federal workplace and gives employees the chance to support more than 4,000 charities, which range from local support groups to international organizations and span such interests as art, culture, education, environment, health, medicine, food, agriculture, civil rights and community improvement.
